Why Prada belongs in a rental closet
Prada's nylon pieces and Saffiano leather Galleria bags are known for being tough, which makes them good rental bags. The triangle logo and clean lines work at a wedding or in an office.
Older Prada nylon backpacks and shoulder bags from the 1990s and 2000s are welcome, along with newer Re-Edition and Cleo styles.
Prada bags go to work events, weddings and trips, when a renter wants something polished that can handle being carried all day.

Donate or consign?
If cash is the goal, a current Prada piece in excellent condition will sell on a consignment site once the commission comes out. Donating makes more sense when the piece is older, shows some wear, or you would rather see it worn again than sold once. You get an itemized receipt instead of a payout, and the piece keeps earning for charity.
How to send your Prada
- Request a free mailer and tell us what you are sending.
- We mail you a bag with a prepaid USPS label and a short instruction card. Nothing to print, nothing to pay.
- Pack it and drop it at any post office, or hand it to your carrier.
- We check and photograph every piece, and your itemized receipt follows in 5 to 7 business days.
Condition and packing: Normal wear is fine. Include dust bags, boxes or cards if you still have them, empty any pockets, and wrap each piece in a soft cloth before it goes in the mailer.
Where the money goes
Every piece is rented for two weeks at a time, then cleaned and sent out again. Net rental profits are split across the charities on our Honor Roll at year end, and every donor can nominate a charity to the list.

Do I need the authenticity card?
No. Send it if you have it. We check the bag itself when it arrives.
Is donating Prada tax-deductible?
Yes. FashionablyGood is run by OnlyFuego Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You receive an itemized receipt listing each piece within 5 to 7 business days of it arriving. The IRS asks donors to determine the value themselves, and a qualified appraisal is required if you claim more than $5,000 for one item or a group of similar items. We are not tax advisors, so check with yours.
