Why Fendi belongs in a rental closet

Fendi began in Rome in 1925 as a leather and fur workshop. Today it is known for the Baguette, the Peekaboo, the Mamma Baguette and the FF Zucca print.

Vintage Zucca canvas bags from the 1990s and 2000s are welcome, along with Fendi furs, which rent well in winter.

Baguettes go out for evening events and weddings, and Fendi furs for winter galas and holiday parties.

Fendi we would love to receive

  • Baguette and Mamma Baguette bags
  • Peekaboo, Spy and By The Way bags
  • Zucca and Zucchino canvas pieces
  • Fur coats, stoles and collars
  • Wallets, belts and scarves
  • Heels and boots

Donate or consign?

If cash is the goal, a current Fendi piece in excellent condition will sell on a consignment site once the commission comes out. Donating makes more sense when the piece is older, shows some wear, or you would rather see it worn again than sold once. You get an itemized receipt instead of a payout, and the piece keeps earning for charity.

How to send your Fendi

  1. Request a free mailer and tell us what you are sending.
  2. We mail you a bag with a prepaid USPS label and a short instruction card. Nothing to print, nothing to pay.
  3. Pack it and drop it at any post office, or hand it to your carrier.
  4. We check and photograph every piece, and your itemized receipt follows in 5 to 7 business days.

Condition and packing: Normal wear is fine. Include dust bags, boxes or cards if you still have them, empty any pockets, and wrap each piece in a soft cloth before it goes in the mailer.

Where the money goes

Every piece is rented for two weeks at a time, then cleaned and sent out again. Net rental profits are split across the charities on our Honor Roll at year end, and every donor can nominate a charity to the list.

Questions about donating Fendi

Do you take Fendi furs?

Yes. Furs go out for winter galas and holiday events. See our coat and fur rentals for how they are listed.

Do you take vintage Fendi?

Yes. Older Baguettes and Zucca canvas pieces are welcome.

Is donating Fendi tax-deductible?

Yes. FashionablyGood is run by OnlyFuego Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You receive an itemized receipt listing each piece within 5 to 7 business days of it arriving. The IRS asks donors to determine the value themselves, and a qualified appraisal is required if you claim more than $5,000 for one item or a group of similar items. We are not tax advisors, so check with yours.

How do I send my Fendi?

Request a mailer. We send you a bag with a prepaid USPS label and a short instruction card, so there is nothing to print and nothing to pay. Drop it at any post office or hand it to your carrier.

What happens after it arrives?

We check it, photograph it and list it for two-week rentals with free shipping both ways. Net rental profits are split across the charities on our Honor Roll at year end, and you can nominate a charity to the list.
