If your piece doesn't fit or you simply don't love it, send it back unworn (with tags attached) within your rental window and we'll refund your rental fee in full — no forms, no hassle, no hard feelings. We'd rather you feel great than feel stuck.
How It Works
- Browse & reserve. Choose a piece that's available to rent and check out securely. We accept payment by card through Stripe.
- It ships to you. Shipping is free both ways. Your rental period is two weeks, beginning the day your piece is delivered.
- Wear it & love it. Show up and feel amazing. No need to dry-clean before returning — cleaning is on us.
- Send it back. Drop it in the mail using the prepaid return label by the end of your rental period.
Pricing & Payment
Each piece lists a flat two-week rental price, shown right on its page. That price includes professional cleaning and free shipping in both directions. Because FashionablyGood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% of rental proceeds support charity — not shareholders.
At checkout, your payment card is securely saved on file through Stripe. We don't charge a separate security deposit. Your card is only ever charged again in the rare case of a non-returned or badly damaged item, as described below.
Returns & Refunds
Didn't fit or didn't love it? Return it unworn with tags attached within your rental window for a full refund of the rental fee.
Wore it to your event? That's exactly what it's for — the rental fee applies and no refund is needed. The satisfaction guarantee covers fit and feel, not an event already attended.
Damage — We Keep It Forgiving
These are special-occasion garments and a little normal wear is expected. You won't be penalized for it.
- Normal wear & minor issues — loose threads, a snag, a popped bead, or a stain that comes out in cleaning: fully covered, no charge.
- Major damage — a tear, a permanent stain, or damage beyond repair: we'll charge the actual repair cost, up to the item's listed replacement value.
- Lost or not returned — if a piece isn't returned within 14 days after the rental period ends, the card on file is charged the item's full replacement value, and the rental is treated as a purchase.
We'll always reach out and talk it through before charging anything beyond the rental fee.
Late Returns
Life happens — a day or two late is no problem. If a piece is more than a few days late, we may apply a small daily late fee so the next person isn't left waiting. After 14 days past due, the lost-item terms above apply.
Care While It's Yours
Please treat each piece with care — many are delicate fabrics like satin and silk that can snag. Don't attempt repairs, alterations, or cleaning yourself; just send it back and we'll handle it. When you rent, you agree to these terms and to being responsible for the item while it's in your care.
