Designer & Luxury Jewelry Rental

Statement necklaces, earrings, and fine pieces for galas, weddings, and black tie events. Every piece is donated, and rental profits fund the charities on our Honor Roll.

Jewelry Rental From a Nonprofit

FashionablyGood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, not a jewelry company. Our pieces come from donors who send us designer and fine jewelry they no longer wear, take a tax deduction, and let those pieces go to work for charity instead of sitting in a drawer.

That model changes the economics. Because we don't buy inventory, we don't price like a jeweler. Rentals are flat, modest prices, and 100% of our net rental profits go to the charities on our Honor Roll. You get the piece for the night. A real charity gets the proceeds.

Why Rent Jewelry Instead of Buying It?

A statement necklace worthy of a black tie event can run $3,000 to $50,000 to buy. Most people wear a piece like that once or twice, then pay to store and insure it forever.

Renting flips that math. Commercial jewelry rental services typically charge 2% to 5% of retail value for a few days, so a $20,000 necklace rents for $400 to $1,000 elsewhere. Our donated inventory lets us charge far less than that.

Flat, Honest Pricing

Most items in our catalog rent for $19 to $64 for two full weeks. No surprise fees, no security deposit.

Forgiving Terms

Minor wear is covered at no charge, and our rental terms include a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

No Storage, No Worry

No safe deposit box, no insurance rider, no guilt about a piece you wear once a year.

What You Can Rent

Our collection is donated, so it rotates. Here's what moves through it:

Statement Necklaces

Bold pieces that carry a simple gown at galas and formal events.

Earrings

Studs to chandeliers, matched to your neckline and hair.

Bracelets, Pearls & Sets

Tennis bracelets, pearl strands, and coordinated sets for weddings.

Straight answer: because everything is donated, we can't promise a specific piece is in stock on a specific date. Tell us what you're looking for using the form on this page. If we have it, we'll reserve it. If we don't, we'll say so and let you know when something close comes in.

Costume Jewelry Rental (Not Just Fine Jewelry)

Not every event calls for diamonds. A lot of what moves through our collection is costume and fashion jewelry: bold statement pieces, rhinestone sets, and everyday-fancy earrings that cost more to insure than they're worth to buy outright. If you just need something that photographs well for one night, costume jewelry rental is usually the cheaper, faster answer than fine jewelry.

Same process either way. Tell us the event and the look you're going for, and we'll tell you whether the right piece is a $19 costume set or something finer from the current collection.

A Nationwide Jewelry Rental Service, Not a Local Shop

We're not a jewelry counter in one city. FashionablyGood ships anywhere in the United States. The process is the same in New York, Los Angeles, or a small town with no rental option nearby: request a piece, we ship it free, you wear it, you send it back with the prepaid label already in the box.

Renting Jewelry for a Wedding

Yes, you can rent jewelry for your wedding. Brides rent earrings, pearl strands, and bracelets for the day instead of buying pieces they'll never wear again. It's the "something borrowed" that also keeps money in your wedding budget.

Tell us your dress style and metal preference (gold, silver, or platinum tones) and we'll suggest pieces from the current collection that photograph well. The two week rental window means you're covered from rehearsal dinner through send-off.

Renting Jewelry for a Charity Gala or Black Tie Event

The old styling rule holds: go bold or go delicate, not both. A simple floor-length gown wants a statement necklace or dramatic earrings. An embellished dress wants almost nothing.

If you're dressing for a gala, start with our guide on what to wear to a charity gala, then rent the gown and the jewelry in one order. Gowns in our catalog run $19 to $64 for two weeks, so a complete gala look can cost less than most people spend on shoes.

How Renting Works

1. Tell us what you need. Use the form on this page, or browse the catalog. Include your event date, dress style, and metal preference.

2. We match you. We'll reply with what's actually available, honestly. No bait and switch.

3. It ships free. Shipping is free both ways. Your two week rental starts the day the piece is delivered.

4. Wear it. Show up, enjoy the event, take the photos.

5. Send it back. Drop it in the mail with the prepaid return label. Cleaning is on us.

Jewelry Rental Questions

How much does it cost to rent designer jewelry?

Commercial rental services usually charge 2% to 5% of a piece's retail value, so fine jewelry often rents for $150 to $1,000 elsewhere. Because our pieces are donated, our rentals are flat, modest prices. Most items in our catalog run $19 to $64 for a two week rental.

How long is the rental period?

Two weeks, starting the day your piece is delivered. Shipping is free in both directions.

What happens if I damage or lose a piece?

Minor wear (a loose clasp, light scuffing) is fully covered at no charge. Major damage or a piece that never comes back gets charged at repair or replacement cost, and we always reach out and talk it through first. There's no security deposit. Full details are in our rental terms.

Do I need to clean the jewelry before returning it?

No. Every piece is professionally cleaned and inspected between rentals, and that's included in the price.

Do you have diamond or fine jewelry in stock right now?

Inventory changes as donations come in, so the honest answer is: ask us. Send the form on this page with what you're looking for and we'll tell you exactly what's available. If nothing fits, we'll let you know when something does.

Can I rent costume jewelry instead of fine jewelry?

Yes. A lot of what we have is costume and fashion jewelry, not just fine pieces. If you just need something bold for one night, tell us that and we'll point you to the least expensive option that gets the job done.

Can I borrow jewelry for one night instead of buying it?

Yes. Borrowing is exactly what a rental is: you wear the piece for up to two weeks, then send it back in the prepaid mailer. Most pieces are $19 to $64, which is less than the cost of buying costume jewelry you would wear once, and every rental funds the charities on our Honor Roll.

Is there a jewelry rental service near me?

You don't need one nearby. We ship anywhere in the United States, both directions, at no cost to you. There's no local pickup or drop-off required, in New York, Los Angeles, or anywhere else.

Where does my rental money actually go?

FashionablyGood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 100% of our net rental profits are disbursed to the charities on our Honor Roll at year end. You can see how that works on our impact page.
