A Good Suit for the Day You Need One
Most people need a serious suit a few times a year: the interview, the conference panel, the funeral, the wedding where the invitation said "cocktail" and meant it. Buying a Hugo Boss or Armani blazer for those days is hard to justify. Wearing the one you bought in 2014 is worse.
Renting fixes it. Pieces here run $25 to $150 for two full weeks, shipping free both directions, from a collection that was donated by people who had exactly this problem in reverse: a closet of good tailoring they no longer wore.
Suits and Blazers Available Now (30 Pieces)
Every piece is a single item in a single size, so what you see is exactly what is here. Ask for measurements on any piece before you order.
What Is Actually in the Collection
We would rather describe this plainly than let a search result oversell it.
Blazers are the bulk of it. Classic single-breasted blazers in black, grey, beige and pinstripe from Hugo Boss, Armani Collezioni, Calvin Klein, Kasper and J.Crew, plus a few draped and ruffle-front cuts that read as evening rather than office.
Skirt suits and two-piece suits. Nine West plaid and pinstripe skirt suits, Calvin Klein black skirt suit, Giorgio Armani black and pinstripe suits, and a couple of vintage wool knit suits that belong on the vintage rail.
Some men's tailoring. Men's blazers and suit jackets from Hugo Boss, Armani and Calvin Klein, and a charcoal J. Hilburn suit. Not a full men's department yet, and the listing will say clearly when a piece is cut for men.
No tuxedos at the moment. We get asked, and we do not currently have one. If you need black tie, the gala guide covers what else works, and if you have a tuxedo you never wear, the donation note at the bottom of this page is for you.
Fit: The Honest Version
One piece, one size. Everything is donated, so there is no size run. We measure the shoulder, chest and length of any piece on request. If it will work for you we will say so; if it will not, we will say that too.
Tailoring cannot be undone. A donated jacket may have been taken in or let out for its first owner. We note it when we can see it, but a jacket that fits the tag and not you is the most common reason a rental disappoints, so send your measurements and let us check before you order.
Trousers and skirts are listed with the jacket where they arrived as a set. A suit listed as a jacket only is a jacket only.
What to Rent for What
Interviews and panels
A classic black, charcoal or navy blazer over what you already own. The Hugo Boss and Calvin Klein pieces are made for this. See corporate event rentals.
Weddings and cocktail
A draped or ruffle-front blazer over a slip dress, or a full skirt suit for a daytime ceremony. Pair with the wedding guest guide.
Conference week
Rent two blazers for two weeks and rotate. It is cheaper than one new jacket and nobody at a conference remembers what you wore Tuesday.
Period and themed looks
Pinstripes, plaid skirt suits and vintage wool knits do a lot of work for 1940s, 1960s and 1980s themes. Start at the productions section.
Common Questions
Can you rent a suit or blazer?
Yes. Pieces run $25 to $150 for two weeks, shipped free both ways anywhere in the United States. The collection is donated, so each piece is one size only.
Do you rent tuxedos?
Not at the moment. The collection is blazers, skirt suits and a few men's suits. When a tuxedo is donated it will appear on this page.
Are suits dry-cleaned between rentals?
Yes. Every piece is cleaned, pressed and inspected between rentals, and that is included in the price.
Can I rent a blazer for a job interview?
That is one of the most common reasons people rent here. Send the date and your measurements and we will confirm the piece can arrive in time and fit.
Do you have men's suits?
Some. Men's blazers and suit jackets from Hugo Boss, Armani and Calvin Klein are in the grid above and marked as men's in the listing. It is a small selection and we are actively asking for donations of men's tailoring.
